I live in a suburb, but lived out in the st...AMEN!! I live in a suburb, but lived out in the sticks for 10 years before moving back..I learned how to be self sufficient and never forgot it. We just endured Hurricane Sandy, then a Nor easter at its heels...While neighbors froze and starved we were warmed by our woodstove and 3 cords of wood we split ourselves. My stockpile of foods kept us well fed (maybe too well fed i gained 10 lbs) I had no electric for 9 days and we pulled through fine...so let them laugh at me for my canning and food stockpile...i will surviveCatHerderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15933478666953462356noreply@blogger.com
