Sunday Afternoon At Peaceful Forest

My mother used to draw a lot. When she was bedridden, she tried to keep busy. She read a ton of books too. My father would bring home a lot of books for her to read. He'd find second hand ones for her. She, of course, crocheted a lot. Constantly. Her and her sisters all were very good at that. Never had to use a pattern. She'd make her own. Drawing was something she did with us kids when we were small. I was never very good at it myself. But my son, Jeff, and my brother's son, Mickey Joe,  were both gifted in that way too.

When she passed away in 2002, my father gave me some of her things and that included her book of her drawings. She loved animals of all kinds and did a lot of them. I thought I'd share this one with you today. Hope you like it!

Very nice drawing. Your mother had a lot of talent. It's so nice that you have her drawings to remember her by.
